I bought this Sony LCD over the Samsung DLP. The relate is sharper and brighter. Also, sony accepts 480 which almost all of the channels on cable serve. The Samsung doesn't attend 480, therefore you will perceive pixelation especially when you search for sports.

I saw the well-organized bowl on the Sony and it was heavenly.

I have the 50" version of this state and am EXTREMELY glad with the consume. I had high expectations for this TV, all of which have been exceeded.

The high definition relate is great. 1080i via component or HDMI looks great. I've seen many an HDTV, but this is easily the best characterize I've ever seen. The dynamic range, upright color, and sharpness are unparalleled. After having it for two months, I serene am disturbed every time I turn it on. I am using Comcast cable for reference.

One major wretchedness for me was the quality of the standard definition portray, given the uncomfortable high percentage of TV quiet in SD. To my surprise, the SD recount is very very capable. I compared a number of TVs in this catergory in the store, but found it difficult because most stores' SD signal is split a million times and stinks. I can state you that in the home it looks very honorable.

DVD's also explore noble. 480p and 480i looks much, as edifying as a DVD can eye. One unexpected thing did happen though... after seeing movies in 1080i HD from HBO-HD and StarzHD, I can't wait for the fresh HD DVD or Bluray discs to hit the market... the describe for HD movies is absolutely beautiful. Watching Shark Tales in HD is an experience.

Lastly, we almost didn't lift this TV because of the side speaker "dumbo ears". I hated them in the store, but in the house they really are Noteworthy less clear. I actually really like the plan the TV looks on our corner stand... given the short depth and the width, it looks like a mammoth LCD panel instead of a RPTV.

Buy it, you won't regret it!

I've had this tv for a month now and I loved it. I weak to have Samsung 63 incher DLP tv but I returned that one due to its sunless level issues and patchy colors on some DVDs. The Sony totally blew away the competition, I'm overjoyed I got it though it costs more than DLP tv.

The color on this puppy is crystal determined, almost rival the plasma plus it's extra incandescent (XBR) unlike other LCD tvs. Produce positive you engage the extended warranty on this one not because it's not wonderful but because it's a great investment. My extended warranty doesn't veil the bulb but I heard Circuit City's does. The bulb costs about 150-200 bucks and avg lifetime is about 3 years or depending on how considerable you recognize your tv.

I had Monster component cable crooked up for my DVD, RCA cables give you less quality on the pictures I heard. Next terminate is DVI cable, but you need DVD player that supports DVI. I don't know how DVI is going to improve the performance because it consider it's already lovely pleasurable.

Side note: pick up righteous quality DVD, I impartial got a DVD with "dual layer format: matted" quality labeled to it and it's bad.
